Ms. Triniti, Ragga Hopping to Soca Sound

Port-Of-Spain, Trinidad Feb. 19th 2008

International recording and performing artiste Ms. Triniti, known for her unique musical fusion style known as Ragga Hop, is riding high on the successful release of her latest track Wi Burnin (Woy Yoy Yoy) and its Soca remix version.

Ms. Triniti, born and raised in the UK to a Trinidadian Father and American mother, recently launched her new single in the land of Steelpan and Calypso during its Carnival period and received not only wide acceptance but rave revues from media personalities and music enthusiasts.

The song Wi Burnin (Woy Yoy Yoy) was written by Ms. Triniti in collaboration with fellow artiste Zumjay and produced by Qmillion from Unseenlab Recordings and was actually inspired by Trinitis own past experiences of T&Ts Carnival. For the past few weeks the video for the single has been in the top 10 video countdown of T&Ts entertainment channel Synergy TV, peaking at No.4.

Although the young, hardworking, determined songstress has gained much global accomplishment and crossover appeal from her signature sound Ragga Hop (a mix of Dancehall, Hip Hop, Reggae, R&B), she says that shes always wanted to do Soca and work with Soca producers. She also adds that shed love to be a part of the T&T music scene and to help take the Soca sound to the forefront in order for the world to know it, the same way that they now know Dancehall and Reggae.

This new track off her latest, soon to be released album entitled, Essential Ragga Hop, was released in Japan on the EMI/Virgin label last December, however, Triniti jumped at the opportunity to debut it in the land of her Fathers birth, T&T before its March U.S. release date.

In anticipation of her arrival during T&Ts Carnival, a Soca remix to the track Wi Burnin was done by renowned producer and remix specialist Andrew DJ Illusion Hirst.

Fresh off a recent visit to Jamaica where she was nominated for Best new Female Artist at the Excellence in Music & Entertainment (EME) Awards, Ms. Triniti now looks to the future. In addition to creating Soca music, Ms. Triniti has already performed with Soca band Imij and Company and would love the opportunity to work with artistes such as Machel Montano, Destra Garcia, Maximus Dan, Shurwayne Winchester and Kees Dieffenthaller.
